I had planned to take off a few months from writing and do some other things like find my office, finish directing a play, and spend some time with my family, but those words for chapter one kept floating around in my head. I could hear them when I tried to fall asleep. I could hear them while I was in the shower. They even interrupted my walk with the dogs. They wouldn't go away.
I wrote them down and sent them to Lyle so he could mull it over a little for a while. That's one of the nice things about working with someone else. You can "tag out" for a while and let someone else carry things around.
So if you are hearing voices in your head and you are fairly sane, put them down on paper. Worked for me.
