I love to create stories. However, I end up sitting at my desk for hours and hours, looking outside longingly. Even during the winter I like to take a brisk walk to open up my senses and free my mind. With spring here and the nice weather beckoning, I have now been able to sit outside with Ani on my lap. Our little dog loves the wind blowing through her hair (Jack Russel Terrier/Rat Terrier/Chow mix), and likes barking at everyone walking within a ten mile radius of our house. I swear, she could hear a pin drop a mile away!
Although the new book is done and in my hot, little hands, I find myself thinking about the next one already. I reflect on my characters and how I left them in the last book. This book opened up a few questions for me and the readers that may have to be answered in the next book of the series.
Lyle and I have a few ideas about where the next book will take place. We love the Midwest, so I suspect we will stay there for the next book. Although I know at least one character is probably from the south...
"Road Trip" anyone?
